- Great Gloves
- I purchased a set of the white Reyes 16 oz gloves for sparring back in 1999 and used them 5 days a week. I usually used these for my bag work as well. It is now 2016 and the gloves a worn with a small tear below the thumb seem but other than that in perfect shape. I'd buy another pair if these ones ever end up ripping. This glove has a lot of the weight down the wrist so you get a smaller area around the fist for better KO. Better for heavy handed fighters. 16 oz will look like a regular 14 oz glove.
- These gloves are EXACTLY as advertised. There is a lot of misinformation about "real" Mexican Cleto Reyes gloves and the ones sold by Ringside, floating around the internet. It's just that, misinformation. I received mine yesterday and compared mine to a training partner's Reyes that were purchased through Lockwoods. There is absolutely no difference whatsoever. These are the real deal. I think that misinformation comes about due to older models being sold by different online vendors. The other big thing is Ringside's shipping. It is amazing! Very quick. I ordered mine to come to Canada in a smaller town called Kelowna (about 5 hours from Vancouver BC). I ordered them last friday and received them this friday). That's the fastest I've ever received anything I've ordered online. I'm very impressed and will definitely be buying from Ringside again. Add to the fact that they're the only ones carrying sixteen oz in these gloves. Anyone doing hard sparring shouldn't be going for anything lighter than that in my opinion. Again very impressed.
